Entering his 18th year of coaching Adam Brubaker is a dedicated passionate leader in the world of football. In addition to coaching he is a business owner of a framing company. Outside of his professional life he is a devoted father of 6. His is married to his wife Alexis. Adams football journey began at a young age playing Pop Warner football in San Fernando Valley. Over the years he has developed a deep love for the game and a strong commitment to nurturing the athletes under his guidance. One of Adams most rewarding experiences as a coach is seeing a player cry tears of joy for the first time after a victory. That moment, reflecting pure happiness from a hard-earned win, stands out as a defining aspect of his coaching career. Through-out his coaching tenure Adam has achieved remarkable success. At Panorama HS, he helped the team to its first - ever winning season. He has also guided his youth teams to five championship appearances and 2 championship rings in youth football. Under his leadership his teams have consistently ranked top 10 in offense and defense. Adams coaching philosophy is grounded in the belief that football is about more than just the game. His core values center around producing young men who are responsible, accountable and make their families proud.
His vision for Royal HS football program is to unite the entire community in celebrating the achievements of these young athletes, both on and off the field. One of Adams favorite quotes is “whatever the complaint is , there is something you can do about it.” This reflects his proactive and solution oriented approach to coaching and life.
A dedicated father of 2 sons
Leighton and Colton and a daughter Breckyn. He is married to his wife Megan. He is a police officer for the LAPD and has over 22 years of coaching experience.
Cody played 5 years of youth football with the SV Vikings, before coming to Royal High school where he played all 4 years. He then went on to Moorpark CC for 2 years and then 1 season at Gardner-Webb University. He also enjoyed playing 7 seasons of tackle football with the LAPD football team.
He has coached every level of youth football in local organizations including Simi Valley Patriots, SV Vikings, Grace Lancers, Simi Valley Bulldogs and NFL Flag. For Cody, the true reward in coaching comes from witnessing the transformation of a player. His favorite moments occur when he sees a new or struggling athlete grasp a concept and make the pivotal shift, evolving into a confident player. His coaching philosophy is built on 3 core values: effort, focus and respect. He believes these principles are essential for both athletic and personal growth shaping his approach to helping young athletes succeed.
Cody's vision for Royal football is to bring the program back to its former glory- to a time when people knew Royal was a team to watch out for. It is his goal is to reignite a winning culture and turn the program into a destination where players want to be a part of something special . Cody is confident that if the team can rebuild that foundation the championships will follow.
